In May 2025, we invited Simon (Razor Taser Laser) to create a full-length aerosol-art mural as part of our refurbishment at Taiohi Tūrama – Rotorua Centre for Youth.
Right from the beginning, Simon was incredibly easy to work with. We shared some ideas gathered from our young people, and he came back to us with a concept that not only captured their voices, but added his own creativity and flair. As we continued to refine the design together, Simon was always open to feedback and genuinely committed to making sure the final piece reflected what our youth envisioned.
Simon also went out of his way to work around our refurbishment schedule, often coming in during the evenings so the project could keep moving. He was consistently engaging, flexible, professional, and reliable – qualities we really appreciated during a busy time.
The finished mural has become a standout feature in our space. It is amazing!! It’s bright, meaningful, and has already attracted a lot of positive comments from staff, visitors, and especially our young people.
We’re grateful for Simon’s mahi and have no hesitation in recommending Razor Taser Laser. His creativity, approachability, and collaborative style make him a fantastic artist to partner with.
